Rick has been Creative Director of Imagination Atmospheres since co-founding the company in 2004. “The decision to create Imagination Atmospheres came from a desire to combine several of my interests and abilities. I called upon my experience in technical theatre, cartooning, airbrush art and stand-up comedy and ended up with a company that creates fun, whimsical atmospheres for amazing clients! How could I ever complain about doing the work I do?” As an award-winning cartoonist, Rick’s environments speak a language understood by kids and the kid-at-heart. His unique themed environments and murals pull you into a world of childlike imagination without ever being babyish or banal. His understanding of each client’s needs helps to create for them an environment uniquely tailored to their specific experience. “We create a lot of environments for kids but we create many for grown-ups as well. It doesn’t really matter what age we are creating for. What matters to us is how we can design an atmosphere that stimulates imagination and wonder. For us ‘boring’ is the enemy. We don’t want to create the same thing everyone else is creating. At Imagination Atmospheres we strive for the unique and original.”
Favorite Part Of My Job: “The never-ending creative challenges and then getting the final ‘Wow!’ reaction from our clients.”
Favorite Theme: “I enjoy creative theme ideas. I don’t like to repeat a design so each theme is an opportunity to make something completely new even if it is a theme we have created several times in the past. I tend to like themes that involve building towns or villages. I suppose that’s my theatre background.”
Why Should a Client Hire Imagination Atmospheres?: ” We have the best team of artists at IA. There is nothing our team cannot imagine or create!”

Vicki Billue Baldwin
Director of Marketing
Vicki has been Director of Marketing and Customer Relations of Imagination Atmospheres since December 2013. She graduated from Carson-Newman College with a degree in Communications and Journalism. Originally from Georgia, she moved to Tennessee in 1983 to attend college, fell in love with the state and stayed. Working with non-profits, including The Alzheimer’s Association, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Cumberland Heights and the TN Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, Vicki gained over 13 years of experience in non-profit fundraising, marketing, development and special events. While working in the non-profit world can be personally rewarding, it had become boring and mundane as well. Vicki became more involved in marketing and social media and got the opportunity to provide marketing for two local businesses in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. “I finally had a job where I could get out from behind the desk, be creative and constantly interact with people — and I loved it!”
Favorite Part Of My Job: “Talking to people who are excited about the possibilities of their dream coming to life. They call us with an idea and seeing it take shape and eventually become a reality is very gratifying! I love that everything we create is original and completely tailored toward each client.”
